Is anyone using a gripped Rebel in a 4MDH?

I currently have a 4MDH 2nd gen for my T3i but am getting a battery grip for it. I was wondering if the width clearance is enough or should I start looking for a 5MDH?
I only use the Crumpler when going out with my 55-250mm on the camera and a 50mm tucked in under the hand grip area. I want something as low profile as possible and hoping I can keep my 4 with the added height of the grip.
I've seen a lot of posts on this bag, but not with this config. (didn't want to repost a Q already asked)
Thanks!

I would say that the 4MDH will be too tight a fit once you're gripped. As far the 5DMH is concerned, I have a gripped T3i and I tried the 5MDH, but had to return it because the grip made the fit too snug for me. YMMV though, since you mentioned you wanted as low a profile as possible

I found a POTN Crumpler thread from a few years ago, and granted a new 5MDH model has been introduced since then, the picture halfway down the first page will give you a good idea of what the bag is capable of, and if it suits your needs:

Good luck!

Thanks! I just picked up a used 1st Gen 5MDH cheap on ebay to see. If it's too tight I'll just resell it.

Nice score! Please circle back when you've had a chance to put it through it's paces.
