Hi all.. I did my first engagement shoot/party on the weekend.

I would like some C&C, especially considering poses and composition as I believe they are the things I need to work on most

Did an *awesome* job for your first shoot mate - keep working on it.

Honestly, there isn't much I could write because all you are lacking is experience - keep practising and shooting. From here, all you can do is improve :)

There are a few things which aren't to my taste, but, that is what makes us different as photographers.

Just keep in mind, flat (lighting) photos are boring. Yes, they are text-book and standard, but, they are boring and mainstream.

Believe me, you will improve a lot. You said this is your first shoot and you've done a fantastic job... yet experience will really show you the difference.

Look back at session after you have shot 3 more couples and you will see how well you have progressed ;)
