When using the iPad or any other iOS device connected to the 70D, can I enable a grid for compositional purposes on the iPad such as the rule of thirds?

Does it exist? I believe it is the same app and it is compatible with the iPad. When installed on the iPad I get the option to use a 2x view. 70D | 40D | EOS M | 17-55 IS 2.8 | 70-300 4-5.6 L IS| 50 1.8 II | 55-250 IS | 100 2.8 Macro (non L) |

The 70D is newer so it shouldn't surprise anybody that it may perform better or have better features. That's pretty much what I'm saying. Paul

Newer doesn't always equate to better, everyone will learn that somewhere along their lives. In this case, the 70D has a completely new sensor, and much like any other electronic-related device, the first generation of a new tech isn't always better than what it replaced, however, it sets a new baseline for the subsequent releases. The 80D and 7D2 should be pretty significantly better than the 7D simply because the 70D provides a new baseline to improve upon, where the older sensor design most likely has been tweaked to the maximum. I thought the 7D was the first to use Canon's 18MP APS-C sensor though? I.e. it too was the new baseline, to be subsequently tweaked. Case in point - if pushed hard I found the 60D to exhibit less shadow banding than a 7D, despite having ostensibly the same sensor. Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

I hear that according to back to back tests, the 70D has 16.8% more noise when resized down to the 18mpx size, the AF with mirror down is actually a bit slower overall, and sometimes throws errors, and that movie mode is now restricted to just 5 minute chunks. The 7D doesn't have any of these problems, it is so much better!!! Where did you see these TeamSpeed?
