We took a trip to Turkey in May, and saw these guys while we were visiting the ruins at Ephesus.

They're a common bird here in Europe, but very pretty. You had some difficult light, but you handled it well. Very nice shots.

Thanks. Mid-day certainly isn't the best time to shoot birds on marble, but sometimes you have to take what you get. The processing got a little easier once I realized those weren't shadows being cast by their bills.

Glad you enjoyed them. Common birds can be interesting when you're someplace new. OTOH they can be House Sparrows, Starlings, and Collared-doves. :lol:
