Canon can't tell a vendor to loose money. However they can approve "Dealer Cash Insentives" which is what they did on these 29 units.
They let B&h sell them at a loss and the gave them a cash Insentives.
It happens everyday.
Ouch. That seems the height of desperation.
Is consensus that Canon will actually release a new M in the states? With the above info, if true, sure seems more than just your run-of-the-mill product dump.
Why would Canon slash lens prices, and now flashes, too, to make way for another M?
(Mind, whether Canon continues the M line or not, I am happy with mine and feel the system as it is today is more complete than any point-and-shoot I could replace it with.)
