What do you use to cover your Printer?

Just got a Pixma Pro 100 and I am loving it! But, as with everything, it will collect dust. So I was wondering what, if anything, other people have used to cover their printer?

I have heard of Compucover that can create custom covers, but I've only seen one post about them. http://www.compucover.com/new_index.cfm (external link)

Has anyone heard about this, or used them? Have you found other companies? Should I just go to Lowes and make my own?

Thanks

Go to a fabric store and look in their "scrap" bin. Mine cost $2.

I had a couple of custom compucovers made for my Epson R1900. All I did was send them the dimensions, gave them my fabric/color and roushing choice, and in about a week the cover arrived. It was made of lightweight ripstop nylon (black in my case). They were fine for keeping the dust off my printer. If this is something that would be useful to you, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

BTW, I don't use the cover anymore because the cat used it as a chew toy and destroyed it. Now I have my housekeeper dust the printer once a week. :)

I had my grandma make me a custom cover. No joke. Gives her something to do that she likes and I can't sew worth anything.

Haha, I guess that's what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks for the advice all.

Good to hear you were happy with compucover. I may end up with them after all.

Good call with the fabric store, I'll have to take a look at some that are nearby.

And the google link, is what made me ask the question, most of those links are to older Pixma models, which are significantly smaller.

I use kraft paper bags; cut and paste to fit; no $$ involved. Towels are also ok.

Inside the original packaging, after I removed the foam forms, there was a nice bag in synthetic cloth that fits around the printer, to protect it. Form and size of this bag fit the printer, so I only needed to remove the bottom with a pair of scissor, and closed (taped) the side.

I've done the same with the photo monitor.
