Hi!

Today's sunset seen from the furthest reaches of the Southsea beach in Portsmouth. Colours have been enhanced somewhat.

Thanks for the comments. I'm never totally satisfied with the photos I make, but given enough practice I should improve slightly :-)

As you said, colours have been enhanced.
Try not to enhance the blues in sunsets, just the ambers.
Give it a go.
Your photo is realy good btw, that was just a we tip.

Thanks.

I had another go at post processing the image (see: http://zonky.org …e.ShowItem&g2_itemId=3873 (external link)). Mind you, it's easy to get some scary results playing around in colour ... my neighbours now think I've discovered a bird-eating spider crawling up my leg after producing a pink sunset with the sky a gently shade of green.

I saw the thread ... decided to use "Portsmouth" more myself even though to an old resident, the beach (especially where I was) doesn't really qualify for that location.

I was far further along the beach than you I suspect. Past the promenade section and into the nudist beach. And \i'm not sure I'd recognise a poodle anyway (not a dog person).
