I am in the process of converting to Apple computers. I am looking for a NAS storage solution that isn't too expensive and works with apple. I want something that will back up different apple computers and will allow remote access to files to the hard drive.

Does anyone have recommendations?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking at the AirPort Time Capsule too. Is it ONLY for backups or can you store and access documents and other data, and access it from a remote location?

It's possible but not recommended if you're going to stream movies or any large files. You want a dedicated NAS device not a drive meant for Time Machine.
