Generally speaking I apply copyright information to files upon import. However, I wanted to find out if there was an easy way to apply such preset information to a file(s) that was imported without it being applied initially?

I use manual exposure settings on the copy machine

right above the title field you can select your metadata preset. I have separate presets depending on where the image is going. Granted I have my copyright info in the camera so the basics are already there.

Thanks. For some reason when I just searched I couldn't find anywhere to apply the preset after the images had already been imported.

As mentioned above, generally speaking I apply the preset during import, but 80% of the pictures I was importing were general snapshots that I knew I didn't really care about. I should have just applied it to all of them anyway... ohh well.

Library Module > Sync Metadata (tick/untick the metadata you want to sync across all images)

Thanks... although the problem wasn't getting metadata across all the images, it was getting my copyright information applied. Even after finding how to do it via preset, I still don't see a way to add everything manually (i.e. address, usage terms, etc). However, it's pretty easy to select images (individually or all) and apply the preset.

It's very easy to add those things manually to images one at a time......just make sure you have the right metadata option selected. At the top of the Metadata pane there is a field (next to the word Metadata) for selecting which type of metadata you want to enter. There is the default, and then, Exif, IPTC (which has the address and job info fields), Exif and IPTC, etc. . . . I normally leave it at Exif and IPTC.

Ahh, well there ya go.

Not that I would want to add that information to each image individually, but I didn't know that was there. I guess it should have been obvious when the Preset option was found just below it
