I have just completed uploading Volume 4 of the POTN Coffee Table Book, Full Version (the version that is NOT family friendly) and it is now available for purchase on Blurb for $66.79 US dollars. The book is hardcover with dust jacket, 204 pages and has 312 photos from 128 photographers. There are also eleven honorable mention photos in the book. Here is the link to preview the first fifteen pages and make a purchase, if so desired: http://www.blurb.com/b/4434573 (external link).

Blurb says that they have a worldwide print partners organization so people in other countries may not need to have the book shipped from the US, however, I do not have any information about Blurb sales in other countries.

I will begin the process of uploading the family friendly version tomorrow morning. I was hoping to get that part done tonight, but it is a very time consuming process even using high speed cable internet that requires a lengthy preflight, generation of PDF files and then uploading about 350 MB of data. After that, it is necessary to set up all of the bookstore information on Blurb for title, description, public sales, preview options, book options, keywords, ad nauseam. The full volume took about four hours, but I will be able to save a bit of time on the second go round now that I have gone through the process.

For anybody who somehow missed the word, and is wondering how much money POTN, Pekka, or anybody else involved makes on this project, the answer is zero, nada, zip. It is purely a labor of love or maybe insanity. I am sure that Blurb makes money since that is why they are in business, but the cost seems very reasonable especially when we did a search to see how the competition stacked up. For the most part the "competition" didn't offer anything in the same league. And the cost of the high-end service providers was far too high to even consider them. The high-end printers might be an option for world class professional photographers.

I will post another notice in this thread with link when the family friendly version is available tomorrow.

Can we get a 20% discount here in the UK?

Update: Yes, JUNESALE works here in the UK as well. Giving a price of £37.08. I'm getting a delivery date around mid July it seems.

My grateful thanks to those who finished the project.

Somehow, I missed seeing that sale information. I suppose that I was too focused on setting up all of the book details for the Blurb bookstore.

Yes we do. Its a fact of life so we are well used to it, definitely not something I spend any time fretting about. Our infrastructure does not run itself.

My sincerest gratitude to Bill and Aram for all the work put in to finish this project! I think only a few beyond us three are aware of the magnitude involved and the countless hours put in AFTER our personal and professional obligations, in putting this volume to bed.
Many, many thanks go out to Bill, who did most of the final work and put together the many pages, converted text and images to InDesign, created the final PDF's, and submitted the final product to blurb. Aram too, thank you for all your work, dedication and input above and beyond, since joining the skeleton staff, to get the book resurrected from a certain demise.
Thank you also the dedicated few who helped with image managing and page assembly early on. Even though the whole book was deconstructed and put together again from the ashes, we had a basic template to work with thanks to your earlier work.
Thank you to Pekka, Tommy, and all the other mods, for their patience and help during a few rough stretches.
Lastly, but importantly, thanks go out to all the photographers that have waited patiently for Vol. 4 without a peep:wink:

As stated in the book...

"Like a fine wine, some things are better with age. With over three years
[SIZE=2]
[SIZE=2]in the making, the team hopes that you savor the results."

Enjoy the book! Somebody else can work on Volume 5. I'm going to sit down and enjoy a cold frosty one:grin:
