Hello Again

Went to East Midlands today to see if i could get any Artistic kind of Photos from East Midlands Airport, had a go but lighting was not the best and it was foggy so ended up just taking photos of the aircraft arriving and departing instead of going for the artistic style.

Anyway here is one i got which i liked, enjoy

It supplies a very wide area, the thing is there are 3 more like that all about 40 miles apart,

Thanks for the reply

That's one of their newer Airbus jets. And the power station is Ratcliffe on Trent, I grew up not far from there ;)

Great pic by the way. Interestingly, I see the jet is registered in Switzerland (I think!)

Love the shot!!

Just wondering if there were any restrictions when shooting at an airport? I live close to Heathrow, and would love to have a go, but just wondered where is the best place to shoot from, and are there any limitations that someone should be aware of?

My Canon can.. I just need to find out how

No Limits from what i know, apart from being in the Airport grounds, lol

However if you are unsure then just stick to the Viewing Areas, or find out where people take Photos from and go there, there are a view websites that tell you where are the best spots

Hope this helps

Dan.

So i'm guessing you can't stand on the top floor of the carpark to get a good view? only from outside the airport grounds?

Yea i could do that, i dont see too many problems with that, we was stood right outside the Perimeter Fence and only had a couple of patrols drive past, which they do anyway even if you are not stood there, i wouldnt see any problem with being ontop of a car park

Ah, Ratcliffe-on-Soar, my dad used to work there.
Its 400000th gigawatt -
believed to be a record in terms of output for any power station
