Grading a scene without touching skin???

Are there any videos for after effects that show how to separate the skin in a grade?
I'd like to grade a scene, but I only want it to effect everything EXCEPT the skin, and then I'd like to grade the skin separately.

look at red giant, they have something called cosmo, that might be what your looking for im not to sure though.

The problem with this is that we are stuck in two dimensions. All the monitors ever see is a grid of pixels... 1920x1080... one way would be to grade the shot twice, Once for the skin and once for the other. then use traveling mattes, rotoscoping, or what ever to cut out and reveal what you want. I know some of the higher end Grading platforms like Davinci, used to use power windows, basically traveling mattes.
