Hi All,
We're just back from a few days in Algonquin Provincial Park, and I wondered if I could pls get some feedback on the two images I've posted below -- I'd like to know what you think of them, what I could have improved on and how (if anything?)... and what I might have done differently to improve either shot -- I think for the one with the people in the canoe as it went across the lake, I'd have liked to have been a second earlier and caught them in the middle of the sunset reflection - but alas... that's what I get for allowing myself a moment of distraction by a bird flying by! :D Many thanks. :D

Wow, I really like the first one! The canoe makes for a great (natural?) prop! Love the pinks/purples/oranges in this shot. No Negative critique from me on this one...

Agreed. I think bigger photos may yeild more meaningful critique. They look great though, especially the first.

When you guys say "bigger" do you mean you want a larger layout? Or do you mean you wish I'd shot in landscape rather than portrait orientation? :D

I really like the first one but if my eyes aren't mistaken, there seems to be a visible halo around the boat in the foreground which is a bit distracting. You might want to play around with your HDR processing a bit to try and get rid of it.

This was not shot in or processed in HDR.... so not sure about a halo or how to remedy it. :D

Larger layout. I tried to check them on your Flickr page, but they are set to private

halo is probably the canoe acting as a reflector

THanks everyone!! I love the first capture as well and I'll be having it printed to a large size and framed for my husband's office --

I'm so happy about how that one turned out! :D
