anybody ever get on a mission?

this was from my third trip to photograph this guy. it's a Lazuli Bunting and not only is it the first time i've seen him, i managed to grab a shot too(which leaves much to be desired, lol).

tomorrow i will try again but its such an unusual coloured bird, i can't stop til i get some nice close, detailed shots. does anybody else get "obsessed" like this too?

Good Shot. I keep going back to photograph the same bird... using different light, different angle, different settings, etc. Keeps it interesting.... and I learn so much.

Well,the weather didn't cooperate this morning, so looks like I'll have to give it a try Friday, my day off. I did manage to go golfing though, which is my other passion.

love the first two images in particular

wondering what you feel you are lacking.

the background, though nicely separated and bokehed, many be TOO separated from subject. Maybe if you selected out the BG and lightened it some, it may lead to improved enjoyment and satisfaction. I don't see what much more you could have done on lighting the bird and capturing it well, that all looks great to me.

Obsessed over a mission? Yep, quite often. Beautiful birdie shots.
