Would you rather be out with your camera in 100 degree heat or 10 degrees with snow?

I haven't shot in two weeks because of this heat that is blanketing the east coast. I just cannot stand it, I sweat so bad my 5d2 looks like its been dropped in a pool. I hate this weather, on the other hand for me anyway I can bundle up and deal with the cold. In other words, I'm over summer, bring on the fall and winter.

I'm your evil twin - give me the heat every time. I just can't function in the cold.

Ok lets say 32 degrees lol.

Seriously though I feel so stagnant right now with this weather, all I want to do is sit in the house and blast the ac while watching a movie with my free time.

Last spring, I was shooting Girls soccer in 30-32 degree nights. It sucked, but a could bundle up and with thin photography gloves get through a 3 hour match.

I have shot one or two races this summer in 90+ degree heat and struggle to last the whole day due to dehydration.

Being in the state of Texas and having been in the Youper of Mich I have been privileged to bask in temps ranging from 107 in Tx down to teens below zero on the Canadian border with the states. IMO if you can work in it you can shoot in it.

I don't like either temperature extreme. Give me a good ole East Texas spring or fall day when the temperature ranges from mid to upper 30s to about 75. I work outdoors and I have learned how to stay reasonably warm in the winter and I can function in the 100+ degrees of the Texas summer but I don't shoot for a living so if it is too hot or too cold I stay in where I can adjust the temperature to whatever feels comfortable.

Give me the heat. You don't get condensation in the heat.

Weather, whatever it is, doesn't deter me in the least for any activity (one of my mottos is that there's no such thing as bad weather, only poor choice's in clothing). I embrace whatever mother nature has to offer.....I rarely ever turn on the AC in the summer (although I do run fans) and run the heat only enough to keep the pipes thawed in the winter. Considering that I choose to live most of my life outdoors, it helps tremendously to keep the inside as close to the outside as possible :)

I grew up in a tropical country with humidity (Philippines) so I'd rather be in a 100 degree environment. And just coming back from Afghanistan, it's no big deal for me.....as long as I got cold water

Depends on where you are.

Colorado in winter = no (or minimal) condensation
Texas in summer = condensation when stepping out of an air conditioned house or car

I love the heat! !00 degrees . . . bring it on - that feels good to me!

Oddly enough, as much as I like the heat, I like winter images much better than summer ones. Wildlife photos taken where the bird or mammal are in deep snow, with frost and snow clinging to all of the vegetation, make for some wonderful imagery. In summer, birds are molting, many mammals are shedding. Deer, moose, and elk have not yet grown their antlers out to their full size. Most critters just don't look as good as they do in the winter. Plus, all the leaves are on the trees, which makes it very dark under the forest canopy.

So, while I love the sun and the heat, I would much rather be out in bitter cold with a lot of snow, because I think it makes for more beautiful, more compelling images.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
