Thanks, Pokertable - you've really been digging into the old posts, haven't you? This one started in July 2003! My workflow for these was pretty simple. They all were shot as JPGs, which usually don't require much work (the G3 was pretty good at getting things right the first time!). I open them, check for color balance problems, and correct if necessary. Then I check the contrast. Sometimes I'll fool around with the overall contrast, and sometimes I'll work on local contrast by using dodging & burning techniques. I try not to spend too much time on any one photo - I find that when you do that, you often end up with something that is no better than what you started with.

Very nicely done Scott. One of my favorites is the image of The Carthaginian II, and your use of the sunset in it.
