I'd say so, specially at ISO 1600+ Current Camera - Nikon D5200 + FX 24-85 VR | AF-S DX 35mm 1.8 |AF-S DX 18-55 VR | AF-S DX 55-200mm VR

ISO 800 on my XSi/450D is still pretty decent. I'd say that 800 on the XSi/450D is similar to 1600 on my T4i/650D. I still use my XSi a lot, as it's convenient for me to grab a camera out of the bag when I see something I want to shoot without fussing around with lenses, the 17-50 2.8 usually stays on my XSi and the 70-200 usually stays on the T4i. In good light there's not a lot of difference between the two cameras. I use the T4i for shooting sports where the better autofocus and faster burst rate is an advantage, along with the ability to use a higher ISO to be able to keep the shutter speed up. in a way, i'm glad to hear that. I put off buying any of the T series because, as you know, the XSi is a very capable camera. I had really hoped that the T5i would have a new sensor, but when it came out with the same old 18 MP as in the rest of the line, I started looking at used 5DII/7D. I put that purchase off again and ended up ordering a 6D saturday night! It will be here tomorrow. I'm stoked.
