So I do have a 100L IS, but I was outside trying to shoot some backyard birds and there was just a bunch of these (dragon flies?) around. So I had my 70-200 f2.8 IS II, and 2x TC III mounted. Got as close as MFD would allow, and this is what I got, still heavily cropped. If they're crap, say so. If they're decent, say that too.

I agree that the first one is the better of the two although I am not sure about the aspect ratio. Aside from what was mentioned for the second one, the WB is also off.
