While walking along a roadway near home this evening I came across this young Snowshoe Hare. It was very tolerant of my presence and I took many photos before it had had enough and disappeared into the brush. I wonder if that white spot on it's head will remain as it grows, it seems too small to have seen a winter yet.
(Full disclosure, I cloned out several flying mosquitoes from each shot, every photo had several...)

Nicely done! I prefer the two in the grass, but they all are cute!

Nice images!
That is a young hare, as the ears are not nearly as long (in relation to the head) as they will be upon maturity. Also, the feet are brown; once they turn white during the hare's first winter, they will stay partly white forevermore. The feet are the only part of a hare that don't ever turn completely back to brown in the summertime.

Great work - I'm glad to see you recognized this as a special opportunity!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks Tom, SJC...hopefully he survives to adulthood. This is a fairly residential area and he is a bit to "chill" for his own good. Although, once he decided to leave, he was gone in a flash...
