Did anyone already put on a screen protector on their new EOS-M from B&H sale?
I just received mine today and I think a screen this beautiful needs to be protected.
Can anyone make a recommendation for the screen protector?

If its like most Canon cameras the plastic you see as the "screen" IS a screen protector and is sold separately directly from Canon should it ever need replacing.

Check you manual, for some of the SLRs with touchscreens Canon cautions that they may slow down response and/or make it less accurate. Need to make sure whatever you pick is capacitive touch compatible.

These multi-touch displays are directly on the glass, like a smartphone. Hopefully Canon is using the ultra hard glass and coatings like gorilla glass, which should make it extremely hard to scratch.

I got my EOS M when it first came out. I carry it pretty much daily and haven't used a screen protector or gotten any dings on the screen. I put a screen protector on my Galaxy 3 Mini and it doesn't respond well to touch controls, so I wouldn't use it on the M.

Why blurry a beautiful screen with a plastic film? Do you keep the bubble wrap on your beautiful new couch?

Blurry? Depends on how cheap you buy your screen protector and if you want the anti-glare.

I have a screen protector on my S100 and Galaxy S3, Asus Transformer Infinity and all previous electronic devices. Its crystal clear and its as if there was no protector. It also responds with no problem.

I love Clarivue but they are a bit pricey

I was thinking about getting this (external link) as I read some good reviews on GGS screen protectors although I am not sure if it indeed interferes with touchscreen sensitivity since this is actually a piece of glass not just a cover.

I tried this first: http://www.ebay.com …_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 (external link)

hasn't come in yet but will report how well it works or doesn't when I get it. I figured why not it's only 5 bucks. if it doens't work well then maybe a cover isn't the best idea.

Came today and is installed. Looks great and NO issues with touchscreen.

Not bad for $5!

I completely agree. Adding a second protector seems crazy.

I thought the M used gorilla glass. Pretty durable stuff.

Nothing can withstand my wife's purse. I picked up a small camera case it holds the camera 22mm and 18-55 a battery and that's it.

Just saying why hassle with fixing the glass on the camera. Cover it up and swap out the cover as needed.

Btw not one week after owning it just before she got the cover I noticed a small light swirl In the glass. Can hardly see it but tells me to wrap it up
