Congrats on the capture

thanks

now that I look at it again, it seems to have some noise and maybe the bird is oversaturated, maybe decrease the sats overall or just the reds/oranges, what do you think?

It does look a bit unnatural to me, but then I've explained my situation to you in another post so take it w/ a grain of salt. Looks like someone took some shears to the L. wingtip-sure it's the angle, but kinda different. The long flite line they use is quite interesting, isn't it? Also, the coordinated wing flaps.

I agree, I went back and desaturated a bit and removed some noise, I think it looks much better now. See below

The L wing tip is as is, just a fluke of nature. Nothing was removed or added to image though it certainly does look like shears went to town on his wing doesn't it?

I DO love their flight lines and coordinated wing flaps! I live across the street from the beach so they rarely fly over my house but from my widow's walk/roof top I can see them flying in massive line formations of one after the other and sometimes in slight V formation, up to 50-60 of them together, all acting together like fish in a school of fish, it is very very impressive sight! They are always just out of range for me and my 70-200mm + 1.4x TC and crop camera. When I go to the beach and look for them all day, they are not to be found :)
I think they are messing with me ;)

Well, it looks better to me, so I'd be concerned-lol. I've had them fly over me when down on the beach-a little too over me if you know what I mean-but never take the camera there. The sand is too fine. Might keep an eye out for that bird just in case there is something going on w/ that wing. As said, sure it was just the angle.
