I had a ton of fun with these two at the MN Landscape Arboretum. Their wedding will take place at this same location in September.

These all look pretty good to me.

I get that it might just be who he is to wear those jeans + shoes, but in shot 7 it's just distracting and puts you less in mind of date night (my only advice to clients in terms of what clothing to wear to an e-shoot is basically: dress like you're going out to a nice restaurant) and more in mind of a lazy day around the house.

I don't see how it's distracting to wear jeans and shoes

^ To me it makes sense to distinguish between the appropriate clothing for walking around the house and the clothing you would wear out on a date. I feel like the clothing one would wear in the latter case is more appropriate for this kind of a photo shoot. This is not something the photographer can mandate obviously, and I can see how for some contexts (e.g. an e-shoot on a fishing boat) jeans and sneakers would be fine. I find the incongruity between how the woman is dressed and the man is dressed distracting. Your miles may vary.

^ Maybe I'm an over-dressed maniac, Hiep, and need to buy a pair of jeans :D

I like the images...didn't even cross my mind on how they're dressed. They're both comfortable and probably dress like this often. So let it be. I'd venture to say I see more people out on dates in jeans than anything else and I travel all over the world spending many nights in bars/pubs/nightclubs.

Thanks for the feedback. My goal is for them to be comfortable during the session and it really helps if they wear comfortable clothes. I certainly don't think her dress is too fancy for his jeans. Not everyone dresses up for date night.

Spot on.
The session is about the couple, and they should be relaxed and comfortable in their presentation (humble opinion).
Really like this set, the last one is beautiful

Tons of enthusiasm, loads of kit, limited skill...
