this one looks kinda nice in the light present, shows a good deal of color

when they are not living in the city, they are beautiful birds. The ones I see unfortunately are missing feet and look like they took a bath in used motor oil (which is entirely possible)

Very nice capture, I always look for the ones that are not mainly gray.

thanks! will take better looks at these birds in the future. From my days inland and in cities didn't care for them much, but willing to give them, and anybody else, a second chance! :)

Thanks for bringing attention that some of the more common birds can have a unique beauty all their own. My wife constantly points out some egrets and herons which are extremely frequent where I shoot and that I miss some unique action shots. I am constantly looking for the more exotics and pass some good opportunities with the local birds. I will keep my eye open for the locals! Thanks for sharing and a lesson learned.
