For this image, I was wondering what would any of you do differently post processing? I only bumped up the contrast a bit and the vibrancy of the photo. CC is appreciated. Thank you.

You might want to try, in some way, getting rid of the logs in the upper right part of the image. ;)

I think the shot itself looks fine, it's just a bit cool and dark. brighten it up (burning the highlights to keep them under control), reduce the contrast, and add some color to the little ladies skin.

I did essentially that in Ps to see how it would look.......unfortunately colors got mangled on upload but this should give you an idea. . . . .

tried to modify it for web export, this is as close as I could get to what is on my screen using soft proofing ......

Basically I converted the image to CMYK and adjusted the colors with a curves adjustment layer, then went back to RGB with another pair of curves layers to boost the mids and shadows separately. Brightened the eyes with a levels layer and done.

I think your edits have drained color. I would suggest that a wider aperture would nicely blur out the distracting background. The bright yellow splotches draw the eye from the baby. I also think that cutting off her hand (and her feet) should be avoided. I can't see any advantage in converting to CYMK for editing. Just choose the right jpg colorspace (rgb, Srgb, Prophoto etc) and stick with that.
