Acceptable crops?

Not sure if i'm bending the composition rules or shattering them, but was looking for some pushing the limits of my 100mm type crops.

Lighting may not be the most pleasing because i was focused on...well...focus

They look fine at this size but actually prefer the last shot

#1 perhaps a bit more light, but light its well diffused and focus is spot on
#2,3 I like the composition, you have some hot spots there but the eye is perfect

all 3 are nice J.D. but I prefer #3 also

looking good! on the first shot a cooling filter in PP will fix it, the other 2 look great just need more diffusion to get rid of the hot spot or fix it in pp

I enjoy the whole set, but the last two are the stars for comp (IMHO).

Thanks everyone for the comments, appreciate it, PP is actually my next step to start working on, aside from cropping, sharpening, and contrast +/- i don't do a whole lot. My computer is too old to run Lightroom and i have no clue how to use photoshop haha, guess its time to learn
