Cricket Hunter Wasp

Steel Blue Cricket Hunter (Chlorion aerarium), I believe. A green variant. I rescued it from my pool late last night, so it was more interested in preening than flying away. I let it go early this morning, none the worse for wear.

Yes, they move very quickly and erratically on the ground when hunting. I shot one a couple of years ago with a cricket clenched in her jaws; that was kinda special.

Thanks. Fixed the numbering. Actually, all the shots were badly underexposed. I had to get creative with making multiple exposures from single files, fusing, and tone mapping. Probably why the contrast isn't quite right.
