Nice shots. I saw a couple of skimmers when I was out shooting today, but I couldn't get close enough to get pix of them.

To see how these birds skim the water for such long distances is truly amazing. They catch the fish and tilt their head down and come up with a fish without slowing down. Nice pics.

I got a sequence of one coming up with a fish, but it is not very good. Someday I will nail one.

Great shots! Both are excellent. Compositionally I really like the second one.

I've spent a good bit of time photographing these birds and I'd be proud to call these mine. They seem fairly easy to shoot from a distance but once they're close you'd better bring your A-game. Your exposures are dead on and the low perspective gives us a window into their world. Very well done.

Thanks gentlemen for your gracious comments. I was apprehensive about posting my pictures, I was thinking that all my shortcomings were going to be pointed out. It's such a relief to know that you find my work acceptable.
