#1 like it, the whites might be a little too bright, but check if highlights blinks, my monitor can be a little off.
#2 I see no spider web, to me you caught it flying :p
#3 I think its the best of the set
#4 also very good
#5 nice
#6,7 a second flash for background would work great here, but your main flash is working great :)
#8 needs a wider aperture for less DOF and softer background

Thank you everyone for your fine comments.
tat/I was of the opinion that the male Mayfly had the "thingies" sticking out of his rear but after doing some research,I am not too sure my assumptions were correct! I still am unsure...
WarlOrd/the second shot actually did have a sliver of a spider web attached to the Mayfly; not too noticeable to the naked eye actually. I totally agree with your feed-back re the last shot; the background is somewhat "washed out"and not the desired effect I was seeking, but you know, you win some and you lose some! :) Thank you for your positive suggestions.

Great set Ishrani. I'm noticing that your shots are getting more exposure than some older sets I remember. Have you changed your lighting?

Very pretty set. Except for no wing blur you could have lied and said the mayfly was flying

I do not know how far back you are thinking, schlagle. I used a ring light last Summer and switched this year to a Canon flash 270ex with extension tubes. (Deni set me up with that and has it posted on his Flickr).
Thank you for your lovely comment. :)

Thank you, Snowy. :)
Crimzon, although he was dangling, there was a slight wind factor I had to deal with, plus his movements in trying to free himself, and yes, I could have said he was flying despite not having wing blur but that would be a lie, something I fail miserably at! :)
