Thanks again all :). Much appreciated.

Warl0rd, just going back to the crop. When you crop in LR, does it re-sample the image? Forgive me for seeming a little dumb here. With the idea of cropping an image to effectively enlarge the image, isn't it re-sampling it therefore adding more pixels?

If so, how do you know what is the threshold you can push to before degradation of image?

I do crop and re-sample in CS6 using the crop tool on a few shots but I prefer to not push it too much.

Just intrigued as to the best method of cropping to enlarge without losing or softening detail.

when you crop in lightroom you are just choosing a partial part of the image as your final image, you are not increasing that selected partial part and expanding it to full size (adding more pixels)

lets say you have a 4000x3000 image. and the bug is only on the top left corner. you can crop it to 2000x1500. you won't be adding more pixels, just selecting the right ones on the original image. the bug will become much bigger (filling all your image) and you won't loose much quality because you're not adding more pixels, just getting rid of useless ones. 2000x1500 will still be enough to resize and share in the forum, and you apply some sharpnening/noise reduction to make up for having a smaller image size to sample from.

Thanks Paulo, I'll look into that. LIke I said, I tend not to do much cropping, when I have done, I've used a resample option but kept cropping to a minimum.
