CS1 & CS2 can open the RAW files directly off the card. Did you follow the directions to install the ACR 2.4 plugin in the proper directory? As I recall you're using a Mac, so I can't help you there, but the Adobe site should tell you how, or perhaps someone here with a Mac can help you. JimE

Edit: Nevermind... looks like tomorrow I will be going to Circuit City to get a card reader. I suspect that your initial issue was with the communication mode setting on the camera. It could be handy for you to sort out the issue, if you are ever in a situation when a cardreader isn't handy.
