Ran into this oddity at a local car show last week. But not being a true car guy perhaps they are more common than I think.

Good find. I don't see many Packards around here, either.

My thoughts too but I don't know enough about them.

I was surprised too. Unfortunately the cars were packed pretty tightly together to get full shots. I do have a couple more of that particular vehicle and it was a boat tail.

Without a doubt a replica of sorts but quite well done. The fact that it has a viper engine alone tells
me big bucks. Its not a 1916 replica looks more like something from the late twenties to the early
thirties. Back then for the most part Packard made the chassis and the bodies were then custom made
for the buyer. As I said before very well done and out of my price range.

Found it 1926 Packard Boat Tail Speedster by Peter Portugal. For more Info.and photos go to peterportugal.com

Little more Info on this car. The builder Peter Portugal put the car up for auction in 2007. The car
was auctioned off by Barrett Jackson at the Scottsdale auction (lot 943) for $53,900.00. Thought It was
worth more than that I could almost afford It.

Good find Furlan, that looks like the one.....And I agree on the big bucks. Viper engines can't be cheap.

Didn't see any Auburns there but there was an Allard right across the road from the Packard.

Peeler - I agree, but I would be too nervous to drive it. That has to be one spendy ride.
