I am completely new to Digital and Canon, in fact, I am still waiting for my new equipment to be deliviered.

So far I have purchased:
Canon Eos-10D
Canon 24-85 ef 3.5-4.5 lens
Kingston 512mb Compact Flast Card (the faster stuff)

I also have a Lowpro backpack Camera bag and a tripod.

I intend to pick up a UV filter and a plorizing filter for the lense, as I dis for all my previous equipment.

So, what should my next accessory be? I will be doing action photography (Down Hill Mountain Bike racing) and archetectural as well.

I am sorry for the newbie questions, please be kind with your replies.

Thanks
Dale

You might think of things like, spare batteries, car charger for recharging out in the boonies, flash unit for dim light situations (after race pub shots...), BGED (some like some don't), broader lens collection (whole lot of opinions here on quality of glass), Eye piece extender (keeps nose prints off the LCD diplay, comfort etc). Just open the checkbook and start filling your backpack. I'd start with the more basic batteries etc....

Spare battery.
BGED grip - essential for portrait (vertical) shots and to hold both batteries to give full day of shooting.
More memory cards if you intend shooting away from home a lot.
550EX flash.
Wider lens/longer lens.
The list goes on forever...............
However the main must have doesn't cost any more money than you have spent already.
Just go out and shoot lots of photos using different camera settings to see how it works and to get used to it.
Also read the manual - a lot!

Where did you locate that eyepiece extender?

Gib -

Henry's, I originally saw it on eBay, but needed 2 so bought one off ebay and one from web store. They were really good to deal with. At first I was concerned about the fact they were based out of Canada, but I had no probs at all. They had it shipped priority, so it made it here in 3 days I belive.

Some folks have had probs with the fit of the extender, but I haven't noticed it at all. I really like the fit and function.

As a side note, I checked all my local shops and reverted to random calls out of state trying to find these, so good luck with your search. Also, they are not going for the so called MSRP when you do find them. The old supply and demand issue is being realized on this product.
