Lowepro warranty. .. anyone claim one?

Hey guys,
I have a lowepro classified 250aw. Its about 3 years old now. I noticed the rain cover binded together at a junction where plastic coating is for the strap insert. Its impossible to seperate it without ripping the cover. Also the sholder padding has degraded to almost the internal padding.
Does anyone have experience with warranty claims with lowepro? They state natural wear is not covered. Not sure if the degraded padding to internal material is normal.

Any input is appreciated.

Also, the bag was purchased at Henry's here in Canada. It states that a lowepro dealer has to estimate the damage. Would that be the store?

i have no experience with them, but the problems you describe and the fact that its 3 years old lead me to believe that you won't get much support. i think the shoulder padding wear will be deemed "natural wear."

I have not claimed for a worn out bag, but they have replaced straps for me.

Think Tank customer service is excellent too.

I know they will send out replacements for worn out buckles and things like that, so I would give it a shot. Sometimes companies will surprise you, and send out a whole new item. You never know until you try!

I once sent a lens case back to Lowepro for zipper repair. Although this particular case was purchased used, and I expected to pay for zipper repair after getting a repair estimate, back comes a brand new lens case!!! They stand behind their products.

Ill give it a shot.. id be happy with a new one but a new strap will also do. Im worried about the rain coat that is stuck together. I tried to seperate it but began to rip slightly so I stopped.
I do like their product. Got a flipside 400aw and love it.

My one experience with Lowepro customer service was great. I had a Slingshot bag with a strap that was tearing loose. They sent a brand new replacement bag. Zero hassle.

I had a 10 year old Orion AW waist bag where the foam padding in the waist belt disintegrated into granules/powder and Lowepro in Australia offered to replace it with a new model, although at ½ price, which seemed fair after 10 years.

Hi, I recently contacted the Lowepro agents here in Australia as I had an older bag that had the coatings flaking off of the zipper protectors internal to the bag (Lowepro Commercial AW).Bag only used indoors and really babied!
I sent them photos and they offered me a replacement bag (new model) at about a 3rd of current market price to replace the bag. Great service and very helpful. Big thankyou goes out to Dawn at Maxwell International Industries (Australia). So my advise is drop your local distributors a line and see what they can do for you. Lowepro will do what they can but you need to make them aware

4 year old slingshot 200 had a zipper separating from bag... They sent the 202 replacement after I sent in my bag

I have dealt with their customer service dept several times. Each time it has been nothing less than stellar regardless of the product or it's age.

I emailed the customer service in Marham, they gave me a REM # to ship it back, but Ill be in Toronto this week and will do it personally... hopefully this will work. Henry's was about to give me a new one but couldn't find the purchase history on their system (i didn't have the original receipt) as the person selling the product didn't put it in under my name properly.

anyways, will keep you guys updated.

Contact them! They were very fair with me on a zipper issue.
