Hi, Thank you for checking this topic

I bough monitor.... and surprise surprise There is no way to connect it with my laptop :))))))) Yeeee I know I know I should check available interfaces etc hahahaha oh well, I bought pretty good monitor for pictures processing in very good price and stopped thinking... I was pretty sure that all monitors have HDMI :))) wrong... mine doesn't :)

OK Laptop hase to offer : HDMI, mini DisplayPort

Monitor: VGA, DipslayPort, DVI-D

Should I get wire
mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort
HDMI to DispalyPort
HDMI to VGA ??

Is that make any sense to you ?? or should I better send monitor back and get something what I can connect to my laptop without adapters etc

Thx for your help !

You can buy a cable that has HDMI on one end and DVI on the other. Here's one on New Egg for around $10 (http://www.newegg.com …aspx?Item=N82E16812270114 (external link)). Mini to DVI is also available and will work just as well. There's no signal conversion involved, so you don't lose any quality, and the cables aren't particularly expensive, so there's absolutely no reason to get a new monitor.
