Other peoples PCs? I can't even be bothered with my own PC! I put Vista, Office 2007, Photoshop, and antivirus on it, I dunno.....maybe 2-3 weeks ago. I just can't be bothered installing any other software, or fiddling with drivers to make everything work. If I can't do it for me, I sure won't be touching anyone elses PC.

I get stuck on other peoples PC for one of three reasons, first I can't say no, second I'm stupid, or third (most likely) all of the above. I have said time and time again that I do not get involved with other peoples PC's, I guess I don't learn!

I hear you on home PC's! I ran out of disk space again on the weekend, and have a PC ready for Vista, have I installed it? Nope haven't had the time

On the subject of time, it must be poker time again

Yeah lets do it! I'm busy either fri or sat this weekend, not sure which yet, I'll let you know as soon as I know, and hopefully we can work something out.

I get paid to be involved with 2000 other peoples PCs every day. It's no wonder that I can't be bothered fixing my own when I get home.

Yep I also get paid during the day, and it is really not what I want to be doing when I get home.

Yep have 3.01 and 2.5.4 media plus all the patches up till about a month ago. Patches are a pain to apply manually though.

Parallel advertised an auction as being $1 reserve both in the title of the ad & in the body of the ad, me being the winner (i.e. last bidder before closing) thinks I've got a reasonable case to get their hands smacked for not honouring that price - they claim "human error" but I think they are just being misleading. They had questions about the reserve more than 48 hours before closing and they chose to ignore them.
Then they have the silliness to offer me the product at $54 above the reserve.
I think the fair trading act & the commerce commission are there for exactly that sort of misleading advertising...

Take them to court. I would also be taking a bat to trademe for there attitude as well

definitely make sure you have all the pages saved and printed out

**** them over they are pretty dodge anyways

lol you need to go to thinkgeek.com and buy the t shirt that says "no, i will not fix your computer" the last person i saw wearing one is a pc technician by trade and he had worn it to work LOL

When I was at Countrywide Bank as field support we had shirts made up with "Countrywide Bank IT support: If we can't help you nobody can" on the front and "Oh and while you are here..." on the back

Apparently IT is not the only field to have this issue, I have heard that especially dentists get issues "oh you are a dentist, can you have a look at this..."

Going to sell my canon ef 400mm 5.6L and change it for the 100-400mm as I have only used it twice! Tony has used it more than me, I need the zoom and have used the 70-200 instead. If anyone is interested let me know otherwise will sell on trademe, not sure what price yet but dont want to lose to much as its still as new.
