If you insist, I could post a few.

I give some pointers, and your gear blows mine away. Plus your composition. :p
After you've stolen the Manual settings, lol

Mate have I got a Ganet shot for you. Who in Auckland prints A2 A1 in size.

Wazza the 300 was set on 6.4mtrs to infinity no wonder it had trouble focusing.

This has to be my best results to date. Thanks for the tips

OMG, and you guys breath that stuff!!!???!!!

actually is looks worse than it was: most of that haze was drizzle and shadow underneath the cloud - with a slight orange tint from low sunlight and a little touch of smog just for honesty's sake

Does it need to brighter etc.

yep i can help:

1) light it from above with side reflectors so the shadow pools around the base and to one side, not from the front so the card is overexposed and shadow falls behind it like a drop shadow (someone in here posted a link to a do-it-yourself lightbox for photographing small objects and products: looks simple to build and makes the photos so much better - google it)

2) make sure the background is pure white except for the object shadow (in other words, dont over-flash the object so the background appears dull grey)

3) um there was a 3rd thing but now ive forgotten what the pic looked like so i'll brb LOL
ah thats right - there's a reflection on the ground in front of the card which leads the eye straight off the edge of the image (lighting from above should eliminate this)

4) make sure you position the card in the most attractive way within the frame and consider the angle at which it is placed so that reading the writing on it is comfortable and natural, not skewed

hope this helps!
