Rumour has it the the internet backbone was down early this morning for "maintenance" -- it is why the whole country didn't have access to the internet. Frankly, I think it is a lot of crock that Telecom continues to provide worse than 3rd world internet services!

Not sure if the hardware is owned by telecom, but it was a Telstra outage officially

Dunno if it is related to the broadband issues, but Telecom replaced a major router on their network at 11:30 due to a hardware fault. Took down our connection to the auckland regional libraries for 10 minutes so nobody could get any books out in greater auckland (except for auckland city) because we host their library system.

telstra went poof. this then effected telecom and every other ISP - the router change over was planned and was just coincidental to the outage..

Telstra finally got it fixed at 2pm.. It basically killed most international traffic and internally was so clogged thats why we ground to a halt..

How can we (thats NZers) compete on a international market with this sh1te service.

Hey all you Kiwis
Was kindly directed over this way by Scottnz. I'm kind of new to photography. Just had a 400D bought for me, so I'm frantically trying to learn how to use it!

So nice to meet you all.

Di

Well just looking at cars. I have 1 craped out 323 that is falling apart but great on gas and around town. Then I have a nicer 929 but V6 and with the price of fuel :( (Super 96) a bloody fortune to run but brillant on long trips.

Umm what to do. I need to think about my day trips up North.

Corolla is a good option. Chose an interiour trim level that you like, the engines are bulletproof and economical throughout the range

Welcome Di, I hope you have a sufficently large wallet, it can be quite dangerous perusing these pages.............

Tony, the car we got for our daughter is an absolute miser, I filled it up on the day we picked it up, its done about 250km since and just put $17.00 in it to top it back up.

1300 cc 1994 toyota carolla very tidy & straight $2500

Its a bit hard to get used to driving a car, driven vans, people movers for the last 11 years, seats are soo low to the ground!!!
