I would go back too. jump in to my delorean and then go back with my money today, invest in the right areas of the stock market and then jump in to the future and bingo :) become a rich man.

but since we are travelling back in time, I would find a way of hinding a video camera and then recording some history in living HD colour :)

everyone who remembers a time with out the Internet. :)

funny how things go round & round. before the internet, there was telex: where people could send text messages & even chat online in realtime to anyone in the world who were attached to the network.
same as now really, just the devices have become smaller.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

It always comes back to your rear end doesn't it

If I went back and changed any part of my life I might not end up where I am, so I can't change a thing.

Just got back from watching some Rugby thrashing.

Meanwhile, I've decided to actual change the style of a few drifting shots from last weekend....

Some vignetting, and gaussian blur

yep, and thank god it's in the past. :) where it should stay. However there are a number of natural things that can kill our modem world. if you ever look out at the night sky one night from your home and see aurora, you should know that the world is in a whole lot of trouble.

to change the subject all together, I am looking at spending some extra cash I got, about 1k of it. And I am wondering what to get. I would like to replace the dvd player that I have got with one that plays a divx, but I am not to sure if I should get one that just plays disks (cheaper option) or one that has got a HDD. I don't do a lot of recording.

and that's going to give me some else to buy, hmmm any ideas?

Fast cars, loose women and alcohol. And the rest I would just squander.

first of, where in the world do you live, where you can get a fast car for less than 1k? and if so then you really must have some cheap women down there ;)

well it's official. the vw is "beyond economic repair" ( to turn this into a photo discussion again see: https://photography-on-the.net …p=3322290&postcount=24380 )
had a quick look at replacements today. has anyone anything usefull to say about either VW Golf / Audi A3 / Opel Astras? (say 1999-2002 5 door hatches given their pricerange) good/bad/indifferent?

Do you HAVE to get a euro? Jappas are gerally better built, and cost less to repair/maintain.

For that money, in my opinion you'd be mad not to buy a pc. A pc will run vista (vista media centre is awesome) well for that money if you use pricespy, and fit it into a small form factor case.
