Just to prove I'm not kidding about the Aston - I think they will let me get away with posting this one.

That's pretty darn good for a 2 light setup. I use that light on the backdrop effect too.

So being a car groomer leaves you qualified to comment?
I spent 3 years working for Aucklands only Lotus Service agent, and have been involved in motorsport on and off, at varies levels for nearly a decade.
I also moderate the internets largest automotive forum.
Of course, I lack that unique knowledge so important to all new car buyers: How to clean the mag wheels on a Toyota Camry.
Its one thing to offer your opinion, its something else to try and back it up with more misleading, misrepresented opinion in an attempt to sound qualified. :)

um moppie, being ANYTHING (even a pizza delivery guy) who uses a different car every night leaves me qualified to comment in the way which i originally did, which was to state that in my opinion and based on my personal experience of X number of ordinary vehicles over about 2 years, i liked the A6 and the Golf the best. nowhere did i claim to have driven these cars in any form of motorsport, and i was not aware that motorsport was being discussed originally: wasn't it a conversation about what kind of car someone should buy next? for general transportation, if i did not misunderstand.

im sorry you felt so threatened by my statement that i had sampled more than 2000 cars in that time period that you were driven to comment in the arrogant, condescending and dismissive way you did, using such profanity as tim himself would have been proud to utter, in expressing your disbelief

however you should (and i think many already do) understand that my second response was purely a defence at being called a liar for my initial statement, and was in no way intended to "misrepresent" myself as an experienced le mans driver or bathurst veteran. your maths was out, no 'carpark circuits' were involved, and that's all.

i stand by it: i DID have access to and drive that many and variety of vehicles over that time period - toyota camry was in fact one of the many (how very astute of you), and my opinion is valid within the context with which i presented it.

disagree with it all you like - but don't call me a liar again.

(oh, and by the way, cleaning mags really isn't that hard: i'm sure with your vast experience and credentials, if you just have another read of the bottle, you will manage very well it next time :D )
