Ok, I raise your church overlooking a lake in the SI to a bridge over a river in the SI

Okay, how about a clichéd South Island photo in order to encourage some more South Island photos from someone who has been there recently

Okay, how about a clichéd South Island photo in order to encourage some more South Island photos from someone who has been there recently... This is from before I had a DSLR, it was shot on an Olympus point and shoot:

I've been there a dozen times and I have NEVER been able to get a shot without people in it. See my post here and the rant.

I dont think this SI photo hint thing is working, maybe he forgot his CF card?

He also probably hasn't got his camera back from Canon after getting that big crack fixed.

Lets have a slightly different perspective of the same church

Touché, but surely Matheson has to be the most clichéd shot?

in order:
barry crump,
if you say so,
:p and
not really these days but i did enjoy my (first ever) scary-as-hell rides on the front of that one down the shingled track at what seemed like very high speeds...

i kept burning my feet on the hot bits of the engine LOL that was the only crap part; and barry said i was holding the bars so tight (as can be seen in the photo) that he had trouble controlling the bike LOL

Wow, it has a completely different feel to it shot that way, much more tension with the portrait orientation, converging verticals and distortion from the wide angle.
