well from what I know, I have never been published.

here's a quick question for everyone. does anyone here use any online printing services? and do they have there own colour profiles.

Its not so much about your own profile, its more about getting whoever is who is printing to use 1998 Adobe RGB and "let photoshop decide the settings" for colour. I think you can get really uptight about profiles, but if you stick to Adobe 1998 and then tweak your settings in PS and then tell the printer to lay off and use youre PS settings, you will be ok

Hey guys, can you tell me about how much you're spending on power a month for how many people? Trying to work out if my power bill's high or normal.

Bah. That's not a real website. I feel shortchanged.

joeseph wrote in post #3654155 (external link)
depends. see if you can get to www.proxify.com (external link) then put the POTN address in...
(well it get's Gen-i folks into Trademe, why shouldn't it get Tag to a real website? :D )

I'ma try that at work tomorrow for trademe, and BAN BAN BAN it if it works. Administrators love banning things and restricting rights.

One of the best ways to get around webmarshall is to setup Squid proxy on your home machine, and use a program called plink to tunnel out to it on port 443 from work (ssh traffic).
The only way to block this that I know of, is to block outbound access to all NZ home user IP addresses, which few workplaces will do.
Now, if only Squid were easy to setup. I'll have another go and let you know how I get on.

Yes I use Frogprints regularly - and I emailed and asked for their ICC profiles. Most will provide them if you ask :)

Ours is about $250 in winter for two adults - but that includes gas and we have a gas fireplace that uses a fair chunk in winter... summer its about $150. Big 4 bedroom house though with lots of fancy lights.. lol

A bunch of Canon bits and pieces.

$285 for power & gas last month. 2.5 people home most days. Are your 3 people growing stuff in their wardrobes?

And just as admins love banning stuff, the techies love finding ways around the bans.
If anyone complains too loudly, we're only testing the technology & embracing the latest communications features. :D

Only mold! There's a DVS running 24/7, no idea how much power that takes. The shower has two heads, i'm going to get one taken out before too long. That figure doesn't include the power/heating for my office! I'm there 12 hours most days so it adds up a bit too - $100/month extra for that.

I think the double headed shower makes a big difference.

With my old flatmate - on average $85 - $125/month. That's with a dryer being used for all clothes drying. With new flatmates - actual reading $260. Kirst = Not happy.
Not clever flatty (other is fine)"why is the power bill so high?"
Unhappy me "gee.. you think 40min showers and electric blankets being on almost 24/7 might give you a clue.."

30% of your power bill is hot water.
Do you hotwash all your clothes, Tim? Cold power it, dear.
$300/month is horrendous.
