and some pics of the base...

QUOTED IMAGE

and yes the pics are crap ... shortly after taking these i was questioned about what i was doing and then asked to leave the airport land. :)

actually I have a picture posted somewhere of the warbirds DC-3 with exactly the same inscription. It seemed more appropriate to have the old bird posing as our military than the odd boing doing cake runs (when the boing has both engines, that is.)
Speaking of the DC-3, has anyone down Palm Nth way seen it with the wings off? could make for some interesting pics.

Where abouts is it Joeseph? If it's at the airport I will have a look on Saturday and see if I can spot it, but I'm guessing it might be at Ohakea?

rumour has it that it's at Fieldair - dunno if they have a hanger big enough or if it's sitting outside.

Nope, I just don't have a need for an ipod.

However I wouldn't mind a phone that can play MP3's, just for the odd times it would be nice to have some music with me. Which I must say isn't that often.

Here is a photo for today, more than likely nothing impressive than what the rest of you lot can do. I used sraw on the camera, I get more shots on the camera but smaller picture, oops I forgot that. Oh well I can't remember everything.

is there a hint of jealously in that post Clive? :)

You bet!

What I don't understand is why the format keeps changing? Even with the change from 20D to 30D which use the same sensor, the CR2s are different enough to need software updates on RAW converters.

The data stored in the Exif block has changed, and that is probably required to handle the new hardware capabilities. But they have also changed how some data is stored, and Breeze still has to determine how it is handled so that the focus points can be displayed, for example. It's not enough just to have the updated SDK from Canon.

Why not ask motorists to dismount also?!

Motorists ARE THE LAW!!!

So who here, would, hypothetically want to do a social one night in late November, so this lanky English dude can meet some of you? We're planning two nights in Aukland en route to Wellington. No fixed dates yet but late November.

Cheers, Dave.

the sign is on the river walk, the only people you are likely to meet is cyclists, walkers and runners. some parts are wide enough for both some arn't. either way the some people don't dismount. most of the time it's not an issue.
