Question for you fella's (not really related to still photography) more for people who have done video editing.

I have some video of an event that was taken a few months ago and are getting the pressure applied to finish it.

I have edited the video to my likeing with the transitions etc. The audio componat is garbage due to hum and extranious noise close to the camera. I also have a digital audio recording which is much better. I would like to mix componants of the video audio (I have extracted it) with the digital audio taking into account that some sections of the origional video audio have been cut/transitioned out etc.

Does anyone know of a relatively easy to use software package that this can be done with?

Evening all

Good to hear from you Tony.

Sounds like Chris did not enjoy driving up here:lol: My sister in law moved down to ChCh about 2 years ago and she drives like a local now, must be the easy paced life!

i drove in central London and had no worries at all. everyone drives with controlled aggression. you are expected to do something and the standards are stuck to. however in Auckland there are just a bunch feckwits who have no idea how to drive a car. One Asian woman almost turned into oncoming traffic in front of us one night. Even Moppie was surprised at that display of stupidity. And whats with the lack of road signs... hmm exit off motorway - shall we tell people whats down there nah..

It would appear that dick Hubbard has given away driving licenses with his cereal packs.. :)

It's certainly different up here, just got to have your wits about you.

I do a lot of driving in Auckland, probalbly 25k a year and drive a big white van but some days, you think that your invisable:confused: people pull out, pedestians step out between cars etc. I'll have days every couple of months that if you weren't aware of your sorroundings, you would have 5 or 6 accidents a day:evil:

If I could make the same or similar money somewhere esle, I wouldn't be here.

Well, thats not true now. When I came to Auckland 20 odd years ago, I couldn't make the same anywhere else in NZ but now probably could.

there are many reasons for moving to akl, one of them is career, not just so money but experence. Also I am finding Hamilton just a tad to small.

in my own tiny street today i surprised an asian driver coming full tilt at me on the WRONG SIDE of the road - actually accelerating up the hill

he was so close to my side he almost kerbed his right mags! then he sees me and veers sharply across the road into a driveway on my right - and leaves me with a pile of stuff on the floor that skated off the seat when i slammed on my brakes

Traffic is AK has probably doubled or more in my time here. I live in Manukau, our office is in Mt Wgtn. If I leave home just before 7:00am, it takes me about 15 minutes max. If I leave at 7:05, it can take 35 minutes on a good day. (on a bad day, I'll turn around and try again at 10:00)

that is totally the rule - well done, some drivers NEVER learn it!

there's a special variation on that rule for roundabouts: the only valid indicator of 'intent to turn right' is the vehicle's front bumper passing across in front of yours

my dad rang me yesterday in a strange reversal of fortunes from the stereotype: he got his licence removed from his possession for a month for speeding... IN THE SOUTH ISLAND

never would have happened in auckland lol
