You've got a nice setup Lance. Especially the MT-24 and MPE-65 - I'm looking at getting one of those soon. I'm meeting a local POTN'er soon, so he can try the 1DIII out, and I can try his super macro.
Getting a job? 20? Student... (course related costs *cough*) Ah I'd love that setup a few years ago

But... do you need pros to say you're work is good?

I say get out there, knock on some businesses with large prints/canvases - that's what Matt did - I'm sure if you PM him, he won't mind you popping around his place, to view his massive canvas, give you ideas on pricing - and you do the rest.

As long as it's good enough for customers, you'll be getting sales

With Sandra soon to be having a better quality of life, the downfall is her salary drop. So your turn to "show me the money".

Too bad I'm in UK now.
I won't be adding more gear before I return. MY bags are now probably double the weight limit. A 100mm however, and couple closeups, could be handy. I'm about to change all my flight bookings on the way back. Leave UK a bit earlier, and see more of Asia or Melbourne and visit my mum.

Lance

Lance dont over look the Sigma 24-70 F2.8 EX just as sharp as the canon

Hmmm.. Helps me with my lens decision a little.
A shame they don't have an IS version.

Well interesting day, 20D and 70-200 almost bought it

Took the family to the Botanic gardens for a run around and some family photos. Whilst extracting our youngest from the tunnel at the potters garden a kid grabbed my 20D with 70-200 f/2.8 attached and ran off with it dragging it along my the lens hood! I quickly took chase and he dropped it on the concrete and ran off

Seems to all be OK, the lens hood took all the damage, a few scratches on it and a big gouge out of the end, found his parents, got their number in case anything is actually broken

Holy SH!!!! :shock::shock:

Well my MK III cost me $6999 (£2500).
The MK III is WELL sought after and selling for £3000.

Even if I sold mine second hand now, 2 months old 10-15K shots, I could still sell for more than what I bought it for. I need to stop thinking about money - someone told me I could sell my 1D, get a 40D, and have all this extra cash - I don't need it really - those lens can wait :o

Always ask for the date code. Also sale condition on focus tests

Lance a couple of lens photos for you and a warning

85mm @ F1.2

And these are the only 3 lens you will ever need.

10mm-500mm

Now the warning.........L glass is addictive

I really like the look of the 85L but i dont think it would give me enough freedome. haha i better start selling some photos if i want more gear:p

My dads a doctor and i just put ten 27cm X 40cm canvanses in his offices. so now lots of people will have a chance to see them. i Figure i put $150 tag next to them and hopefully some body will see 1 they like and will buy 1:D
not that u want to give nemore money away when u go to the doctors lol

And they might not give you a completely honest answer due to you being potential 'competition' and taking their living away from them.

OTOH they might be. :D
