Tell you soon when I get my TC 80N3. Whas that what you were using to get 10min exposures?

No, was the RS model with the aid of a stop watch. Looked at the TC but figured I would too rarely use the functions to make it worth pay the extra moolah.

Some tape/bluetac over the light?

Have tried to cover it up, but it still comes through. Perhaps it comes through internally, the way it appears in the frame seems to suggest that.

Was the viewfinder covered? If it is receiving direct light it can act like a projector into the chamber.

It was driving me insane, I had covered it [the light], but only with a glove, the light would still have seeped through the left of the glove into the view finder. I will do another text pic tonight with the view finder covered... except this time it will be in H-town not lake Tekapo :(. I miss the South Island already.

I have always wonder when that little cap would come in use. I never do long exposures so never had the problem.

I found that using the eyepice cover attached to the strap produced vibration - the strap swings in the breeze, jerking the camera. Detached, I could never find it. The Angle viewer seems to reduce the problem, but I use a soft black cloth draped over the top of the camera for long exposures.

You mean the $300 + angle finder?

Wow, nice photo Scott! I wonder if you can burn or vignette the edges very slightly, and if it would help? Or maybe just a black border?

Thanks Tim. That border doesn't really work though does it....I'll have a play and see if I can come up with anything better. Elements 2 is pretty limited in its borders though!

Try increasing the canvas size by perhaps 10 black pixels on each side, then increase it again by maybe 50 white pixels on each side. That's a simple frame I often use.

Elements does not appear to let you specify what colour pixels you want.....

A darker boarder does look better though!
