Battery Time?

Last weekend I did went through all my gear to check labelling and condition, of the 7 BP511's I have, only two are any good  All the others are either worn out (my genuine Canon G3 battery) or don't hold much charge because they were cheap cr*p. The two good batteries I have, one is the Canon 1390Mah I got with my 20D, the other is a Sterlingtek 1800Mah I scored from Wazza after he did an order a while back.

That 1800Mah Sterlingtek is by far the best of the bunch.

So I am thinking of getting some more batteries. Sterlingtek have the following:
BP511 1800Mah (G Series, Pro1, D30. D60, 10D, 300D, 20D, 5D & 30D) - US$11.99 each or US$22.98 a pair
NB-2LH 1100Mah (350D) - US$14.99 each or $28.99 a pair.

Postage is US$8.99 Airmail or US$19.95 Fedex. The more we buy the less the postage is per battery.

Exchange rate is around $0.64, so a BP511 is just under $19 each ex postage.

Anyone interested?

I'm interested - a NB-2LH for me please :D

Ouch!!

He is refering to a lens hood for my 17-55......$100 for a piece of plastic! From what i have heard the lens is prone to flair, so I have to get one.

I am sure the hood for my 70-200 is about that! Wide angle lens plus large aperture, yep probably prone to flare. I would have thought it was included

Nah, Canon only includes hoods with Ls. If you read the reviews that is the biggest thing people dislike about this lens "How can they sell this lens for so much and not include the hood?"

Sigma dont leave anything out. Canon should follow same path. Include hood.

Scott looking foward to seeing your photos with it.

An update from parking episode:

Phoned the manager of Tournament Parking.. Advised the tow guys now claiming there was no ticket there at all?

And John, the operator I spoke to is denying speaking to me yesterday.

And they said the 7 terms and conditions are there, and I shouldn't have parked there.
I explained I paid $12 in total, and used my initiative to see what's wrong with system, and was told that there was a fault, and ok to park as I won't be told..
Saying too bad... Terms and Conditions...
?#%#$^

So I kept pushing, finally said take a copy of my ticket and stuff and email through.

Sounded like a complete ass. Sounded like a towie himself.. Roughneck.

Don't ya mean REDneck? I am sure that there are some of those flooting around auckland somewhere :)

And this shows why towies have a bad name. How many people really expect towies to be honest. After all once they have your car, you will have to pay them to get it back.

Crazy price, should be included:evil: . I also need one, best price i've found so far is $90 inclusive from Apix, not a stock item.

Ask your manager first, but I'd be inclined to send them an invoice typed up on your company letterhead (you were on company business at the time right?)

use reasonable business languge and indicate that failure to reimburse may lead to further action...

and send it registered post that requires a signature. That way they cannot deny they received it. Worked for me a few years ago.
