You can get an eyepeice extender, but you still need to clip your regular eyepeice on the end of that.. and mines broken. so yeah. Ill just continue to wipe the snot off the LCD. :S

We had two 300Ds with the eyecups lost, and the 20D with a broken clip and very loose.

Imported a collection from USA - NZ$20 each. Also tested cause of breaking - at least in my case it was due to pulling the camera up out of the camera bag using the potn short straps. It applies a twisting torque which the tabs don't withstand.

The problem is fixed by applying a small piece of double-sided tape to the rear of the eyecup. The assembly can still be removed with careful pressure to attach the angle viewer which I always use with the tripod.

But while checking further on the Canon anti-fog eyecup, I came across the rubber eye-moulded eyepiece a la video camera. Bought some, and love it - the viewfinder screen is so much clearer without side light, especially outdoors.

Also, I have the extender and use that also. The 5% magnification helps.

The eyecup and the moulded-rubber eyepiece each have metal spring tension rather than the clip: I have had no unwanted movement with these.

I tried an eyepiece extended, it made the image too small and dim.

Well, GKPE will be in the latest Dphoto magazine :D

I wrote them an email suggesting they do an article on local photography clubs/gatherings, I took the opportunity to do a plug for GKPE, they sent me a email this morning wanting my address, as my email has been picked as "Letter of the Month" Nice :)

Will have to keep an eye out for new members after that edition is published

Bacan aka Stefan is a mate of mine, poor fellow used to work with Amanda.
He's got a nice little A95, and will hopefully be joining us at Devonport.

So long and thanks for all the flash

Are you talking about the Canon Eyepiece Extender EP-EX15?

That has a 5% magnification - which can be observed. Dim? I'll check that.
