I'm not too excited about either of the shots. Last night was the first time I have shot RAW, and I have to say I didn't really get anything out of it. Anyone want to give me RAW conversion leasons?

Hmm. would you like to email me a raw file of the sunset shot? Ill see what I can come up with, then you can decide if you want lessons or not.

I may be needing lessons too... the last time I tried editing the raw files ended up in a disaster...

I hardly ever post my best photos the same day.
Unless its something that really stands out, or something unusual like fish with good timing I will wait till the next day before going over the photos again, and picking the ones I want to work on to post, or keep in mind for future printing etc.

The good thing about RAW is revisiting older pics and re-processing them.
This is an example...
Not a good shot but an improvment on my first attempt back in Jan.

My 2Gb CF arrived yesterday, so I have the capacity to persist with RAW. I can see it's potential, once I overcome my incompetence.
