I think you are living in a dream world, where it rains money and you can find a L glass around every corner.

I do live in a dream world. Unfortunately it simpy rains and there is usually glass round every corner. Not sure if it's L, probably Honda side window.

Seems that way. Mind you New PC arrive tommorow got that intead of another "L" lens

Well 5D has now 10,000 clicks  Good to do an event tonight makes a change from my normal photography. Seems this weekend is all booked and next weekend is filling up fast. I now referals refering me so word of mouth is a good thing.

I am feeling more confident in what I am doing. Still a lot to learn but the reports back from the models is very positive. I have also found it better to leave the photos for a couple of day then go back to them.

I have a small paid job next week

it sounds like you are getting used to the work that your doing. that's a good thing. it will make you a better photographer.

so then you wont have time for landscape work. Just when ya starting to get good at it ;)

if I was you I would have upgrade that too. No I am not just talking about the big huge dell screen I am currently looking at. But I am talking at least 19" that way you can have two screens running at the same time. Also use DVI on the main screen. you will get a better picture.

the way I see it, is that for PS work the screen is perhaps the most important part. Why cut back on that.

techie question coming up...

new TV.. connected an S video cable to it from my graphics card.. and the picture is monochrome. - old TV before it died was colour using same set up...

reading TV manual to see if i change a setting in that but if you guys have any ideas ....

Hey dude, I know exactly how to fix this, had the exact same problem. You need to bridge a couple of the pins in the plug. Let me know if you still don't have it sorted, and I'll go look at mine to tell you which ones.

Sounds good. I am just loving my new computer.
Duel Core 2.0, 160 gig HDD 512meg video, 2gig Ram Toshiba Laptop 17" monitor:)

Sorry I think I mentioned it already, but I am so wrapped I want to mention it again. Especially after so many years with a Pentium II 500 mhz with 500mb ram & onboard graphics. It's like stepping out of a 2CV & into a Ferrari.
