Roll on Jan2007 means I kept my word to my wife that I wouldnt by any more lens the year :rolleyes:

Law 101 for Photographers
Featuring James Carnie

When: Next Tuesday, 12 December from 6pm
Where: Unitec Lecture Theatre, Building One, Entrance One, Carrington Road,
Point Chevalier, Auckland

James Carnie is a partner at Clendon Feeney, Barristers & Solicitors for the
AIPA, NZIPP and DINZ.

Since joining Clendon Feeney in 1997, James has been practising in a range
of areas including company law, domestic and international contract law,
litigation, employment, intellectual property and technology law.

James has presented on international trade and contract issues and has
provided advice regarding project management, international contracts and
cross-border tax, trade practices and joint ventures. James has also written
several published articles regarding topical issues in valuation law,
resource management law, employment law and intellectual property law.

His presentation will cover:
> > The laws relating to the business of photography (including copyright,
privacy and consumer law)
> > Contract law, in particular how to use terms to secure benefits and reduce
risks
> > Topical issues affecting photographers

Welcome to the new members since last time I posted :)

Has anyone else got weather suitable for anything but shooting ducks :( Hope it dries up by Sunday!

Had a look at the bandwidth test here at work, and today is a slow day hehe :) -

12194 kbps down
3418 kbps up

It can get up to over 18000 down and 8000 up :)

What sort of connection does the Uni use?

my 128K upload is the killer. :(

Still takes forever to upload photos to print, or websites

Hi All

Not sure to be honest :o I just turn on the pc and it goes? Apparently the unis are hooked up to some wizzy system though, so we can collaborate and share information with colleagues quickly and easily - I'm sure this counts :lol:

Mind you makes going home to dialup very painful :eek:

Just phoned up Canon regarding, repairing my 580EX.

Advised won't be repaired until January, as they have "loads" of repairs and a very long wait.

Said I will come by first week of January then, and drop off my 20D and grip, sort out that issue, and also repair the flash, red light emitter, focusing error.
